Reschedule or cancel a booking
Update a booking when plans change and understand what happens after you save.
Where this lives
Open the booking record, review schedule and status, then use the booking actions that move the date or cancel the job.
Rescheduling safely
- Change the service date and time first, then recheck product availability and route pressure before you save.
- If the booking already has payments, confirm whether the payment timing still makes sense after the new date is applied.
- Use notes to record why the change was made so the next staff member does not guess.
Canceling carefully
- Do not cancel a booking until you know whether a refund, credit, or waiver follow-up is also required.
- Canceled bookings should stay historically accurate, so avoid deleting records that explain customer history or reporting totals.
- If customers were already messaged, send the cancellation update from the booking workflow so your communication trail stays together.
